How was your Mother's Day?! My day was WONDERFUL - really, I should say that my Mother's Day WEEKEND was wonderful. Yes, we've celebrated all weekend long. Part of the weekend was spent with my mother-in-law and the remainder was with my Mom.... Both of those ladies are phenomenal... mean the world to me. Today my Mom and family had lunch at my grandparents' home. Something you should know about their home - it's like it was torn right out of a Southern Living magazine. My favorite part about it all is the garden. There are fruit trees and rose bushes, wild flowers and arbors covered in grapes. There are butterflies and birds fluttering about, and sweet, sweet smelling rosemary. So, while I was there, she gave me a cutting off her rosemary plant... I didn't stop smelling of it the whole way home. When I got home, I had to tie it up. I put a rubber band around the end of the cluster, tied on a pretty ribbon, and hung it above my kitchen sink. So, I'm going to celebrate all week long! I'll be doing dishes on Wednesday with Mother's Day on my mind... so thankful that I'll be able to stop and smell the rosemary!

Oh Heather hv you just been introduced to Rosemary...Whoopee! I feel sure your GM s Rosemary is in abundance..If you have ANY space to plant it..DO IT I nearly always have some rooting nearby my kitchen window. WhenI gather it I strip the bottom of the stem /that goes into water..the lves stripped off become the start of a natural potpourri. At the farmhouse before a gathering I tied tiny tiny bunches and placed them in bedrooms before company came...or hung on doors ALL OVER THE HOUSE..and a great little pkg topper for a gift you've wrapped for someone special..AND a wonder-ful thinking of you gift..A PRETTY LITTLE BAG OF THE STRIPPED R. LEAVES..etc, etc..can you hear how excited I get
